“In the beginning I was very hesitant about getting the vaccine. I work retail so I am surrounded by new people every single day. So I knew I was exposing myself to the chance of being in contact with someone who has COVID-19. I did not want to take the chance of bringing that home to my loved ones. One day my job had an extra one and they had offered it to me. My sister and cousin had already been vaccinated and I have been talking to them about it and saw that they didn’t really have too big of a reaction from it so I have decided I might as well take that vaccine my job offered. If I could help protect me and my loved ones and just people that I am surrounded by every day why would I not do it? Soon after I received my vaccine, my arm did become very sore and I was sick with a fever and body aches for about 3 days total but it was nothing too bad. For anyone who is hesitant about getting your vaccine I would highly recommend it! The more of us that receive it the more we will be a little bit more safe! I was also very on the fence about it but I just thought to myself, ‘If it’s not going to hurt me, and it can help everyone else, why would I not get it?’”
