“I was pregnant when I got the COVID-19 vaccine. I can’t explain the relief I felt after getting vaccinated. I cried. I cried because I was making a choice to not only protect myself, but protect the community around me. I cried because it felt like I could see the end to this pandemic. I cried because of the added security of knowing that I would pass antibodies to my baby.
While the pandemic isn’t over, we can work together as a community to protect ourselves and each other by getting vaccinated and continuing to wear masks. If you’re able and you haven’t already, I urge you to get the vaccine as soon as possible. If not for you, for your community and those you care about. Lives depend on it. Vaccines are likely our way out of this.”
